| Your PENSION is in serious trouble - Monday, June 8, 2015 Pensions.
Still Relevant in 2016
Your pensions ARE at a great risk. Don't be fooled by the General Assembly in Harrisburg!! The General Assembly has made it no secret that they want to EXIT the pension business. The dirty little secret is the method in which they decided to execute the plan. The plan is to bankrupt the system. I'll repeat that. The plan is to bankrupt the system. Senate Bill 1 is the first step in the process. In SB 1, all new hires will be placed in a 401k plan which means the 7.5% payments of these new hires will NOT go into the PSERs system. The PSERs system is currently in bad shape because of lack of current funding. So why and how would/could they find additional funds to keep the system solvent? Are we to believe they'll pay what they currently owe PLUS the missing funds necessary from the new hires?? Only a fool would believe that! The hidden agenda is they won't fund it....that's nothing new!!! The system will die on its own from lack of funding. That's the game plan. I presented that view to a senator last month and he did NOT disclaim my view.
More evidence was the testimony on Commonwealth Foundation president and CEO, Matt Brouillette, before a committee hearing on SB1 on June 4, 2015. When asked by Steve McCarter how the SB1 would effect current retirees whose average payments are about $25,000 a year. Mr. Brouillette stated that the payments would be reduced by about 66%!!! Stunning admission as to the ultimate goal. Bottom line....these folks want to cut your pensions by 66% by making the system insolvent.
YOU need to wake up before it's too late!!!!!!
